International Conference of the Central Asia and the Caucasus Studies Association in Italy
The regular Annual International Conference of the Central Asia and the Caucasus Studies Association in Italy (L'Associazione per lo Studio in Italia dell'Asia Centrale e del Caucaso; ASIAC) was held on the 25th-27th of October 2021 in Rome, at the University of La Sapienza.
The event brought together scientists and researchers from Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Russia.
The Association aims to promote knowledge on the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus and to develop cooperation with them.
ASIAC is focused primarily on universities and cultural institutions and organizes annual meetings of scientists. The organization is coordinating research activities in the study field of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Ms. Dubrovskaya presented the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) at the conference. She read a report "The Anglo-Russian-Chinese Ili crisis in Xinjiang (1871-1881) According to Russian Archival Sources" that sparked a lively discussion.
The conference consisted of the following sections:

- "Foreign Policy, Cooperation and Mythology ", and some others.
