Euro-Asian Center for mega-history and systems forecasting

Inter-Divisional Research Group

On May 25, 2011, the Academic Council of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences established a new interdepartmental research group - the Euro-Asian Center for Mega-History and System Forecasting (EACMHSF).

Tasks of the Center:

  • to promote the joint work of scientists from different countries and specialties working in the historical-evolutionary paradigm, as well as teachers, public figures, politicians and political consultants;
  • to unite the efforts of researchers, educators and politicians aimed at shaping the youth of a secular humanistic worldview, taking into account the latest scientific achievements;
  • to improve the methodology and practice of systemic forecasting of social processes at both the regional and global levels, as well as humanitarian technologies for managing political and economic development.

Directions of the Center

  1. Scientific publishing. The Center plans to publish Russian-language and English-language academic journals: “Historical psychology and sociology of history”, “History and modern times”, “Social Evolution & History”, “Journal of Globalization Studies”, as well as the anthologies “Evolution” and “Evolution”, monographs and collections devoted to the problems of world, global and universal history (mega histories).
  2. Scientific and organizational. Preparation of international seminars and conferences related to the scientific interests of the Center, including dedicated to different stages of universal evolution (including social history and prehistory), as well as regional and global forecasting. Events are planned to be held in close cooperation with various scientific organizations and the media.
  3. Educational Preparation and provision of textbooks on universal history (mega history), social history, cultural anthropology, political psychology, as well as on certain historical and regional studies on the TV channel "Enlightenment", in universities of Moscow and other cities of Russia and the CIS. Initiatives to incorporate the Universal History course into state educational standards.
  4. Political advisory. Comprehensive (with the participation of experienced psychologists, lawyers, sociologists, country scientists, ecologists and economists) monitoring, analysis and forecast of political situations; training of public speaking and negotiation skills and techniques of public debate; psychological and technological support of election and other political campaigns carried out by groups of professionals, assembled for specific orders.

The Center consists of full-time employees of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences: L.Ye. (deputy. Head), Korotaev A.V., Lyubimov Yu.V., Nazaretyan A.P. (head), - and also, on a freelance basis, a number of Russian and foreign scientists. The Center will work in conjunction with the Teacher Publishers, the Enlightenment TV Channel, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, the International Foundation for the Survival and Development of Mankind, the International Mega History Association, and the Department of Global Processes of Moscow State University. Mv Lomonosov, consulting firm "Eastern Project" and other scientific and public organizations.

The center invites to cooperate scientific and public organizations that are not indifferent to the prospects of Russia and world civilization.
