On June 19th, 2019 in the conference hall of the Institute of Oriental Studies a ceremonial meeting was held dedicated to the award of V.V. Naumkin, the President of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Directorate and colleagues congratulated solemnly V.V. Naumkin on conferring the honorary title of the state prize laureate of Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for his outstanding contribution to oriental studies (Arabic and Islamic studies).
