Conference "Social Processes in Muslim East"

 
The conference opening “Social Processes in the Muslim East" (Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, ethnic Kurdistan, neighboring countries, and regions) took place at the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) on November 26th, 2018.

The conference was held by the Study of the Near and Middle East Center and was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Institute of Oriental Studies.

A.K. Alikberov (the Deputy Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies) opened the conference. Two plenary sessions were held on the first day of the conference. V.Y. Belokrenitskiy, the Head of the Center, presented the report “The cultural complexity of nation-states in the Muslim area. National issue in Pakistan”on November the 26th.
