Conference Conference "Japan and Russia during Great Transformations Era"

 
On December 20th–21st, the 11th annual conference of the Japanologists Association "Japan and Russia during the Great Transformations Era” was held at MGIMO. The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) of the Institute of Oriental Studies was one of the organizers of this representative scientific forum.

I.P. Lebedeva, Doctor of Economics, the Chief Researcher in the CJS, presented the report "On social stratification in Japan" in the conference section "Economics and Society". Ph.D. M. Gerasimova, Senior Researcher at the CJS, presented a report entitled “Changing the mass consciousness in Japanese society in the new time”  in the conference section “History and Culture of Japan”. E.L. Katasonov, the Head of the CJS, Doctor of History, made a report "Metamorphosis of the Japanese cinema: Tsukamoto Shinya". Ph.D. S.A. Polkhov, the Researcher at CJS, made a report “History of Russia and Japan of the 19th-20th centuries in the historiosophical paradigm of Leonid Vasiliev". Dobrinskaya, Ph.D. of Historical Sciences, Researcher of the CJS, presented a report on the “Indian foreign policy direction of S. Abe” in the section “Politics”.
