E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdelkarim al-Isa, General Secretary of World Islamic League, was Conferred the Degree of Honorary Doctor

 
On July 22nd, 2019, E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdelkarim al-Isa, the Secretary General of the World Islamic League, during his official visit to Russian Federation, came over the Institute of Oriental Studies, where a ceremony was held to confer him the degree of honorary doctor of the Institute.

General Secretary of the World Islamic League, E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdelkirim Al-Isa, was conferred the degree of Honorary Doctor of the Institute of Oriental Studies by Academic Council of the Institute of IOS RAS The following officials attended the solemn event: members of the Federation Council and the State Duma of Russian Federation Federal Assembly, the Presidential Administration, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation, the Russian Orthodox Church, the Muslims Spiritual Administrations of Russian Federation, diplomats of representative offices and embassies of the Arab League countries, as well as researchers of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, leading scholars and experts of oriental studies.

Professor V.V. Naumkin, the President of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences opened the ceremony and presented E.P. Sheikh, Dr. Mohammad bin Ablelkarim al-Isa diploma and mantle.

The ceremony ended with a ceremonial reception of the Secretary General of the World Islamic League.
