Speech of A.V. Vorontsov at the Conference "Politics of Joe Biden Administration and the Korean Peninsula Reunification"

 
The international online conference "Politics of Joe Biden Administration and the Korean Peninsula Reunification " was organized by the Universal Peace Federation. The event was held on the 29th of June, 2021.

Alexander Vorontsov, the head of Korea and Mongolia Department of the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences), made a report at this conference. The report was called “The Russian Assessments of Current Situation on the Korean Peninsula and the Korea Unification Prospects”.

The conference was organized by the American office of the Universal Peace Federation. The event was part of an international webinars series united by the project “International Leadership Conference” on the topic: “Towards Peaceful Reunification of the Korean Peninsula: Peace and Security”.

During each session of the conference, the speakers answered questions of the audience.

The Universal Peace Federation was founded by Dr. Sun Myung Moon and his wife Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon in 2005. The inauguration took place in New York. The organization has consultative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The Universal Peace Federation has branches in the vast majority of countries around the world.

Well-known statesmen and public figures take part in the activities of the Universal Peace Federation. Universal Peace Federation calls on all political forces and religions of the world for dialogue and peace cooperation. The organization stands for United Nations renewal, including the proposal for creating an Interreligious Council within the UN. Through its projects, the Universal Peace Federation strives to contribute to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Federation pays special attention to the issues of peace on the Korean Peninsula and the North and South Korea reunification.
