International Scientific Seminar

 
The Center for Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) together with the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue (Geneva, Switzerland) held an international scientific and practical seminar on the situation in Afghanistan and the prospects for its development.

The seminar was attended by former and current diplomats, military personnel, UN staff and international NGOs from 14 countries (China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Finland, Serbia, Switzerland, and Russia).

The conversation turned out to be interesting and informative. The participants exchanged assessments, opinions and formulated specific practical recommendations. As a result, a collection of speeches will be prepared. The event will be of interest to government agencies, politicians, diplomats, international journalists, as well as specialists engaged in the study of modern Afghanistan.
