Russia's First Online Museum of N.N. Miklukho-Maclay

 
We present the first in Russia Online Museum of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay, as part of the joint work of the the South Pacific Region Study Center of the Center for Southeast Asia of Australia and Oceania of the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) and the Foundation for the Preservation of Ethnocultural Heritage named after Miklukho-Maclay, with members participation of the Researchers Association of the South Pacific Region.

For the first time, the Online Museum presents a collection of Maclay Coast exhibits based on the results of the 21st century research expeditions with a description, a miniature model of the reconstructed Maclay Coast, articles, photos and video materials, including popular science films, as well as a library with selected scientific and popular science publications for free download.

The Online Museum of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay will be interesting to the South Pacific Region researchers, as well as to a wide audience of historians and geographers who are interested in Russia's contribution to the study of the world. The
Online Museum of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay collected the main materials and works of researchers of the 20th-21st centuries, and the heritage of the world famous scientist has been preserved and developed well.

The project “The Online Museum of N.N. Miklukho-Maklay” is implemented by the Foundation for the Preservation of Ethnocultural Heritage named after Miklukho-Maclay with the participation of employees of the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) and with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
