The Indian Government has awarded Tatiana Shaumian on the 28th of March, 2022.

The Government of India has awarded Tatiana Shaumian, the Head of the Indian Studies Center of the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences) the Padma Shri Order for her scientific and scientific-managerial merits and for her great contribution to the Russian-Indian cooperation development.

The Padma Shri Tribute is the fourth highest civilian state award in India. It was established in the year 1954 by the President of India. It is awarded by the Government of India in acknowledgement of a citizen's outstanding contribution in a particular sphere (arts, education, industry, literature, science, sports, medicine, and social work).
