Life and death in the works of Agyeya and Krishna Sobati
Seminar “Literary context. Current problems of modern literary criticism"
The report of PHd Guzel Strelkova
LIFE AND DEATH IN THE WORKS OF AGYEYA AND KRISHNA SOBATI
The purpose of the report is to examine the approach of Hindi literature to understanding the nature of God, life and death. The subject of the study is two novels - “Strangers to Ourselves” and “Hey Girl”, written by Hindi writers Agyeya and Krishna Sobati. The work of these two writers combines Western and Indian approaches to understanding and depicting the world. These works are close in composition, in the creation of images of the main characters and in the way they highlight the main elements of the narrative. But Agya and Krishna Sobati achieve almost the opposite result, describing their heroes on the brink between life and death, in search of God and in the quest to discover the meaning of their existence.
