Presentation of the Medal Presentation of the Medal "For Literature and Art of Vietnam"

 
A ceremony was held to present the medal “For Literature and Art of Vietnam” on the 21st of November, 2023, in Moscow, at the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation. The medal was presented to Anatoly Sokolov, Сandidate of Philological Sciences, Senior Researcher at the Center for Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania at the Institute of Oriental Studies (the Russian Academy of Sciences).

Anatoly Sokolov, the Senior Researcher at the Center for Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania, Candidate of Philological Sciences, was awarded the medal “For the Creed of Vietnamese Literature and Art”.

The award ceremony took place at the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow. The event was attended by Dang Minh Hoi, the Ambassador of Vietnam to Russia, Do Hong Quan, the Chairman of the Vietnamese Union of Literature and Art Associations, and the other officials, as well as representatives of the Vietnamese community.

“Anatoly Sokolov is known as the editor of the Vietnamese-Russian Dictionary, a reference book for generations of Vietnamese graduates, experts and civil servants who worked and studied in Russia,” reports VietnamPlus.

Do Hong Quan noted that effective cooperation was developing between Vietnam and Russia in many areas of the economy, defense and society, including in the field of literature and art.

Ambassador Dang Minh Hoi congratulated Anatoly Sokolov. He noted the significant contribution and tireless efforts of scientists in the research and popularization of Vietnamese literature and art among Russians and friendly international partners. These efforts contribute to building and strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
