The Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the 3rd Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi

 
From November 28 to November 30, 2023, the 3rd Congress of Young Scientists was held in Sochi (Sirius Federal Territory). The Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences at the event was represented by the member of CYS Anna Sharova, Junior Research Associate of the Center of the Japanese Studies

On November 28, Anna participated in the “Open Program” of the Congress of Young Scientists and gave a speech at the panel discussion “Creation and Development of Humanities Laboratories in the Russian Federation”, where spoke about the experience of creating and successful work of a number of humanities laboratories and research centers of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, about the participation of members of the laboratories and centers in international cooperation projects, as well as the close interaction between the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the laboratories and centers of the Institute.

The representatives of FEFU, IREP RAS, and the Institute of Europe RAS, MSLU also took part in the panel discussion. Evgeny Yusipov (Member of the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education, Head of the FEFU Rector's Office) was moderating the discussion.

The Congress of Young Scientists is a key event of the Decade of Science and Technology, declared by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in order to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important problems of the development of society and the country, the largest platform for dialogue between advanced and fundamental science, government authorities and the real sector of the economy and sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development of Russia. This year, as before, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took personal part in the work of the Congress.
