On December 28, 2023, The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Russia held a lecture by Professor Vitaly Naumkin, President of the Institute of Oriental Studies.

The event was organized within the framework of youth empowerment program and included a meeting with young activists attended by the head of the Department for Political Affairs Mr. Mohamed Rashed Almansoori, and Ms. Hamda Khalid Alshaiji, a specialist at the Department.

Prof. Naumkin told Emirati students about his life and academic career in Oriental Studies, discussed his experience of studying Arabic. He also explained the nature of his work in the field of Arab Studies, emphasizing its importance for Russian society and politics, shared stories about the influence of the Arab culture on various spheres of life in Russia, including classic poetry.

Mr. Mohamed Almansoori expressed his gratitude to Prof. Naumkin and delivered a speech dedicated to his contribution; the students, for their part, thanked him for sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with them.
