Joint Delegation of Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), and the Information Analytical Portal Oriental Tribune’s Visit to Indonesia
On December 4, 2024, implementing the previously signed agreement on bilateral cooperation, a scheduled meeting was held in Jakarta between the joint delegation of the Institute of Oriental Studies (RAS), and the Information Analytical Portal Oriental Tribune with the leadership of the Indonesian think-tank The Habibie Center.
Participants from the Russian side included: Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia Sergey G. Tolchenov, Vice President of the Institute of Oriental Studies (RAS) Dr. Vladimir N. Sautov, Dr. Habil, head of the Department of Art and Material Culture of Institute of Oriental Studies Dinara V. Dubrovskaya, and Deputy General Director of the Portal, researcher of Institute of Oriental Studies Sergey A. Kovalev. Participants from the Indonesian side included: Chair of the Board of Directors of The Habibie Center, Professor Dr. Dewi F. Anwar, Executive Director of The Habibie Center Dr. Hasan Ansori, and others.

Presentation by Dinara V. Dubrovskaya
Dinara V. Dubrovskaya gave a presentation on the Institute of Oriental Studies, the Oriental Tribune and the problems they are currently solving. Participants exchanged views on the relevant topics. The parties spoke in favor of establishing multifaceted cooperation, including information and analytical products, video conferences, delegation exchanges, and publication of materials of mutual interest. On the upcoming celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the parties agreed to participate in relevant events. Coordinators have been appointed.

Continuing the visit on December 5, the joint delegation was received by the newly appointed Minister of Culture of Indonesia, Dr. Fadli Zon. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the field of culture, museum exchange, as well as information, analytical and research activities with the support of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
