Digital Research Laboratory of Contemporary East
The Laboratory team integrates computational and linguistic technologies into Oriental studies, automates the monitoring of an array of data in Oriental languages, studies foreign trade networks, develops Oriental software packages, and actively works to improve the skills of young scientists.
Our mission
To make digital tools and databases a key production factor in Oriental studies, so that our developments are useful and practical for representatives of academic and business circles.
Laboratory tasks
- improving the quality of translation by taking into account the lexicographic features of the processed texts;
- improving the linguistic resource base;
- developing your own linguistic resources;
- assessment of foreign trade networks;
- study and popularization of the cultural heritage of the modern East;
